Update on office Policy and insurance coverage

Please make sure you have read our two previous emails to learn about the COVID-19 virus covering:

  • What to do if you are without symptoms
  • What to do if you have symptoms
  • How to interface with our office
  • Medication use
  • How to boost your immune system

Most office visits are being converted to electronic or phone consults.

Medicare, United Health and Cigna are now reimbursing for these out of office visits.

Thank you for all of your love and support for my family.

As many of you know, my oldest son Cody, was involved in a very serious accident in Canada in mid January. I had been attending to my son in Canada and after two weeks of life saving care by excellent Canadian physicians and nurses, flew him to Phoenix where he spent 4 weeks in the ICU at St. Joseph’s Hospital. I do not want to share gory details – but I am happy to report he is out of the ICU, eating, sleeping well and working on the next phase of his recovery. He is faced with a long recovery and will be going to San Diego VA Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Center hopefully this week.

To everyone: THANK YOU 🙏

There are people praying around the world for him and the outpouring of love, support and kind thoughts have been received, deep felt and appreciated.

I am back in the office, available for you and I apologize if there was any interruption of care. Paige Leykam has done an amazing job as has the entire staff at Arthritis Health.

There are thank you-s all around, most importantly thank you God for holding my son closely, holding him gently, holding him in healing hands. That is the prayer I say every night over his bedside. If you would like to know more details, you can view this link on GOFUNDME set up by his aunts and a TV station news report out of Ottawa about the accident.

Stay tuned for next Friday’s update. Be safe and be kind.
