New Patient Consultations are complete evaluations provided by Ms. Amanda Herron P-AC, Nisha Manek, MD and Paul Howard, MD together comprising a full history and physical in order to render a full accurate set of diagnoses and a treatment plan. If needed, diagnostic studies such as laboratories, x-rays, scans or any additional biopsies or electrical studies may be requested to arrive at the more accurate and comprehensive treatment plan. In more complex cases, a second visit is often needed to analyze the information and develop the therapy program.

We rarely rely on medications alone. In fact, we try to combine the best of diets, supplements, physical modalities such as exercises, conditioning, yoga therapy and physical therapy coupled with medication to achieve our goal of controlling and if possible, creating a clinical remission of the rheumatic conditions.

We also encourage our patients to take advantage of combining our rheumatologic care with the expert naturopathic care offered by our naturopaths. Together, the combination is a powerhouse of health.

Ongoing Continuity of care visits
We commonly manage the rheumatic conditions with serial office visits. As time passes and the rheumatic condition is controlled, we usually will see our patients 2-4 times a year as long as they are on continuous treatment. We can also arrange to co-manage your condition with your primary care provider. We enjoy working with many primary care providers throughout the state and the southwest and will make every effort possible to make your care the most convenient and efficient.

Osteoporosis Evaluations including DEXA scans
We offer comprehensive osteoporosis consultations and if needed state-of-the-art DEXA (Bone densitometry). We can outline a program to help protect and preserve your bone strength and enhance your bone health with a thorough program of diet, supplements, exercise, yoga and if needed pharmacologic agents.

In Office Infusion Services – Intravenous therapies
Certified infusion specialists provide intravenous and sub cutaneous infusion care for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and osteoporosis. Our center has over 12 years of infusion experience. We also have expert billing consultants able to provide accurate infusion reimbursement information and help with any billing issues. We understand the complexities of insurance and can advise you where it would be most economical for you to receive your infusions, at Arthritis Health or at an alternative infusion center.
